Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

Doesn't this bag remind you of Mary Poppin's bottomless carpet bag? It isn't a bag of endless tricks but it's my very own old fashioned Overnighter. I proudly made it and I can't wait to use it.

Made from heavyweight upholstery tapestry fabric, this bag is sturdy and totally unique. My fingers are still sore from slip-stitching the lining to the main bag!

  1. Great bag, really Supercalifragilistic! I have trouble sewing a bag from the book you borrowed from the library and I was wondering if you can help me...

  3. Thank you for answering! In my last trip to London I saw that book and I fell in love with a bag explained in it, although I couldn't understand how to fold the fabric to get the shape with only a few seams.

the bag is something like this

I don't have the book but I have seen these bags lately and there are only the diagonal seams (not in the bottom or in the sides) is it possible?

  4. I think I remember the bag you are talking about but I would have to borrow the book again from the library. I will get back to you as soon as I can.

  6. Ok, I have the book now. Correct me if I'm wrong - it's the scarf bag you are talking about, right? Also, can I email you elsewhere?

  8. What book are you two talking about? I'd love to find it. I live in the US, so don't know if it will be available here. You do really nice work Corrine!
I'd like to try the overnighter bag that you made.

  9. The book is called "Brilliant Bags". I would have to check on the author. Alicia and I were actually talking about a different bag. If I remember it right, though, the Overnighter can also be found in that same book.
